Kirkhaven's 2025 Holiday Gift Drive for Residents

Christmas time is almost here, and we’re reaching out for support with our annual Kirkhaven Resident Gift Drive. Many of our residents no longer have family nearby, and community support truly makes all the difference. We rely on the kindness of neighbors, friends, and local organizations to help fill those gaps and bring warmth to the season. Let’s come together to make this Christmas extra special for the seniors who call Kirkhaven home.

Check out a few ways you can participate below.

Option 1: Gift Giving Tree

Each year, we set up a Gift Giving Tree in Kirkhaven's Lobby. Staff, families, friends, and visitors can simply take a tag off the tree to sponsor a resident’s gift. For organizations that would like to participate, we can email or assign tags so you can still be part of this wonderful tradition.

  • Each tag on the Gift Giving Tree in the Kirkhaven lobby represents a personalized gift for 1 resident.
  • Simply take tags off the tree and purchase the items. If your organization would like to participate, email abrauer@kirkhaven.com. Kirkhaven will email you the tags with each resident’s gift ideas so you can participate as a group.
  • Place your purchased gift items in a gift bag or unwrapped. Attach the numbered tag securely to the gift so we know who it’s for.
  • Drop off all gifts at Kirkhaven by Friday, December 12th


Option 2: Wish List

Our Wishlist is another wonderful way to help! These items are used to create gifts for residents whose tags aren’t taken from the tree, ensuring that every resident receives something special this Christmas.

  • Echo Dots/Alexa
  • Kindles
  • iPads
  • Smart TV’s 
  • CD players with radios
  • Art Supplies (Adult coloring, markers, paints, yarn, etc.)
  • Toiletries – hand/body lotion, perfume/aftershave, body wash, shampoo, conditioner
  • Socks and slippers for men and women
  • Scarves/handkerchiefs
  • Large Print Books
  • Large Print Crossword Puzzle Books/Word Search Books
  • Gift Cards (Amazon, Wal-mart, Target, Wegmans, Restaurants)
  • Flowers/Plants
  • Hats, gloves, and mittens
  • Small stuffed animals (new)
  • Quilts, throws, blankets
  • Costume jewelry
  • Nail polish
  • Candy or pre-packaged cookies (no handmade items please)
  • Wall Calendars 2025 (Large)
  • Men or Women's sweatshirts, t-shirts, zip-ups and sweatpants. Must be brand new with tags.
  • Men or Women's lounge wear or PJ sets. Must be brand new with tags.

Option 3: Monetary Donations and Other Options

We’re also collecting monetary donations, which allows our volunteers to shop for residents and fill in any remaining gift needs.


If your organization has another idea for getting involved, we’d love to hear it! We’re always open to collaboration and happy to work with you to make this Christmas truly special for our residents.

Mailing Donated Gifts to Kirkhaven

If you are participating in our Kirkahven Gift Giving Tree, or purchasing suggested items from our online wishlist to donate to the residents of Kirkhaven for the holidays, please ensure all gifts are dropped off or delivered to Kirkhaven by Friday, December 12th.

When purchasing online:

  • Select the gift receipt option (if available).
  • In the message field, please write:
  • “Wishlist” – if you purchased from our online shopping list.
  • "Gift Giving Tree" and include your assigned gift number – if participating in the Gift Giving Tree for Kirkhaven Residents (located in the lobby).


Thank you for your generosity and support!  Please ensure all gifts are dropped off or delivered to Kirkhaven by Friday, December 12th. Gifts should be unwrapped or in a gift bag.

We are open to donations of the following items:

  • Gift cards for Employee Appreciation program
  • Pre-Lit Christmas Trees (6-8 ft)
  • Non-glass Christmas ornaments
  • Wii Game systems and games
  • Microphone/speakers
  • Entertainment services for resident special events
