Family Meetings
Offer “Real” Help

Often, the very best way to find help is simply to go to someone who's been through it before.

That's the philosophy behind the Family Council meetings that are coordinated by Kirkhaven's social work department. When you need to know you're not alone; that you're not the first to go through the conflicts, emotional upheavals and frustrations of placing a loved one into nursing home care; when you just want real, tried-and-true practical advice, our family meetings bring together people who have "been there" to share their experiences.

Family Councils also provide easy access to our leadership staff, the administrators and department heads to address family members' questions and discuss concerns and issues in an open forum. Please make a note of the following scheduled meetings and plan to come.

Join Us!
Once again, we are pleased to offer Sunday afternoon meetings to "chit chat" about the day-to-day operations of our Kirkhaven home and all its happenings.

Our door is always open at Kirkhaven. You are welcome to stop in and talk to any of us at any time; we always appreciate hearing from the families and friends of those we care for.

Please join us for any or all of the following Sundays from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. in the Wilcox Room:

  • February 10, 2008
  • May 8, 2008
  • September 14, 2008
  • November 16, 2008

If you would like more information, call Paula Henry, Director of Social Work, at (585) 461-1991, extension 3008.

Kirkhaven is a community.
